- leads the agency’s media and public relations, advises executive leaders on communication strategies, and assists in making well-informed decisions that translate into effective media and public communications.
- serves as the Health Department’s Public Information Officer and spokesperson for emerging and critical public health threats related to disease outbreaks and environmental hazards or any other crisis communication needs.
- coordinates planning and organizing public health communications, including all effective channels of communication necessary to inform and engage the general public, special populations, and key stakeholders.
