    Job Description
    Working across all divisions, the Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator –
    • leads the agency’s media and public relations, advises executive leaders on communication strategies, and assists in making well-informed decisions that translate into effective media and public communications. 
    • serves as the Health Department’s Public Information Officer and spokesperson for emerging and critical public health threats related to disease outbreaks and environmental hazards or any other crisis communication needs.
    • coordinates planning and organizing public health communications, including all effective channels of communication necessary to inform and engage the general public, special populations, and key stakeholders.
    A Bachelor's degree (Master’s degree preferred) in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field, along with at least three years of progressively responsible experience in communications, writing, editing, publishing, social and news media relations, marketing and public affairs in a health and human services organization is required.
