Date: May 16, 2018
Event Description:
What is better than local craft beer? How about 8 days devoted to local brews? The Tip of the Mitt will tap into the talent of local brewers and craft beer focused restaurants starting May 11th for the first Up North Beer Week. Beer lovers in Boyne City, Petoskey, Gaylord, Harbor Springs, Wolverine and Mackinaw City will find events, tastings, food pairings and even beer classes to enjoy. The Boyne City Mushroom Festival Craft Beer Block Party is also part of Up North Beer Week on Thursday, May 17th from 5-9pm. 20 beers will be featured along with food and music, on South Lake Street in Boyne City.

20 breweries, taprooms and restaurants are participating, each hosting an event during the week. And true beer lovers can get the most out of the week by purchasing an Up North Beer Week VIP Passport that includes a souvenir pilsner glass and discounts at all 20 stops along the way. The passports are $15 and available at MyNorthTickets.com.

Northern Michigan has become a hotbed for brewing beer. This week was created to help increase awareness to this growing industry and to showcase the incredible beers in the region.
