Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra (GLCO) presents an evening of light, hope, and transcendent beauty with Morten Lauridsen’s “Lux Aeterna” and Mozart’s Symphony No. 25 on Friday, April 25th at 7 pm at St. Francis Xavier Church in Petoskey.
Lux Aeterna (Eternal Light) is a renowned choral work by American composer Morten Lauridsen. The orchestra, conducted by Maestro Libor Ondras, will be joined by the GLCO chorus led by Andre Strydom, along with the Chamber Singers of Algoma from Ontario, Canada.
Mozart’s Masterpiece, Symphony No. 25 in G minor, is one of Mozart’s most popular symphonies, and was a major influence on later composers, including Beethoven and Brahms.
