Boyne City Mushroom Festival

A rare opportunity to learn about, hunt for, pick and taste (and even win a bagful!) a true delicacy from the woods – the marvelous Morel mushroom. Each May, on the weekend after Mother’s Day, Boyne City fills with hundreds of mushroom lovers from around the country who come seeking this elusive delicacy. Found in nearby woods and clearings, morels are favored by those who know their ‘shrooms. This is the 58th year that Boyne City has hosted the National Morel Mushroom Festival.
